Unfortunately he died and the empress Eugénie, wanted to have a grand mausoleum built here in his memory. But, the land on which this church is built was owned by a Protestant family, The Edelman of Hock wood and they didn't want a big catholic mausoleum on their land. So, Eugénie, removed the bodies of her husband and her son.
